The Road Safety and Transportation Committee (RSTC) is dedicated to improving the safety of the roads and transportation infrastructure within our neighbourhood. The RSTC is working with the office of University-Rosedale Councillor Dianne Saxe on traffic calming measures to promote traffic safety across the Annex.
The RSTC’s vision for healthy streets seeks to create a pedestrian and cyclist friendly neighbourhood that welcomes and absorbs increased density. Our criteria for change include the creation of (a) pedestrian biased streets, (b) well defined intersections and road crossings, and (c) safe access to green spaces. The Committee also monitors the rail line that defines the northern boundary of the Annex.
The RSTC has identified some priority zones in the Annex for remedial work. Additionally we are looking to collect and consolidate any additional issues for inclusion in our ongoing work with the Councillor’s office.
